What courses does GS Car Driving Institute offer?
We offer Full-Time courses (4 Days Automatic Car, 5 Days Manual Car) and Part-Time courses (6 Days Automatic Car, 7 Days Manual Car), plus doorstep car training. All courses include day-wise curriculum with high kilometre targets.
Where are the full-time and part-time courses available?
Full-Time courses are available all over Chennai. Part-Time courses are available only in OMR and ECR. Doorstep training is available across Chennai, subject to slot availability.
What are the class timings?
Full-Time classes start at 6:30 AM sharp and finish at 2:30 PM. Part-Time 1st slot is 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM and 2nd slot is 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A break is available every two hours and our services are available all working days.
Do you teach in automatic and manual cars?
Yes. We train in both automatic and manual cars. Automatic courses take fewer days, while manual courses include clutch and gear practice for full vehicle control.
Is the course suitable for complete beginners?
Absolutely. Our curriculum starts from basic car information, pedal practice and clutch control, and progresses step by step to city, highway and heavy traffic driving. No prior driving experience is needed.
How many kilometres will I drive during the course?
Depending on the course, kilometre targets range from 70 kms on Day 1 up to 250 kms in the full-time courses, covering city, highway, market road and heavy traffic driving.
Training & Instructors
What is taught in the road sense class?
Road sense covers long vision, “U” turns, “S” bends, line maintenance, line changing, speed maintenance, overtaking, giving way and immediate pick up.
Do you teach reverse parking and judgements?
Yes. We teach reverse parking, 4 types of parking, and front, left and right judgement — essential skills for daily driving and tight spaces.
Can I learn in my own car?
Yes. We offer Own Car and Personal Car training, so you can learn in your own vehicle with our instructor beside you. This is especially useful for getting comfortable with your own car’s controls.
Are your instructors experienced?
Our instructors are licensed, patient and experienced in training absolute beginners as well as learners who want to improve their driving confidence. They use dual-control cars for safety.
What is the difference between full-time and part-time courses?
Full-time courses are intensive, with longer daily sessions (6:30 AM – 2:30 PM) and higher kilometre targets, completed in 4–5 days. Part-time courses are spread over 6–7 days with shorter slots (3 hours), ideal for students and working professionals.
Do you provide doorstep training?
Yes. We offer professional car training available right at your door step. Our instructor comes to your home or preferred location, and you can learn in your own car or ours.

Is there any registration or booking fee?
Course fees depend on the course type, car type and number of days. Please call us for current fees and offers — we keep our pricing transparent with no hidden charges.

We accept cash and common digital payment methods. Please contact us for details before booking your course.
Do you offer any discounts or package deals?
We occasionally run seasonal offers. Please call us directly to check current promotions or group booking discounts.
What if I need to cancel my booking?
Cancellation policies depend on how far in advance you inform us. Please contact us as early as possible so we can adjust our schedule and discuss any applicable terms.
